Letter from Rabbi Moshe Yechiel HaLevi Epstein - the Admor of Ozarow
Letter written and signed by Rabbi Moshe Yechiel HaLevi Epstein, Admor of Ozarow, sent to kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock.
The letter discusses the cost of printing his books [it mentions Har"m Margoliot in this context] and the conclusion of copying the omissions from his works. He mentions the Admor of Gur and asks that he pray for his health. He also asks that he pray at the holy sites for him, and includes names of people looking for a match and more.
Rabbi Moshe Yechiel HaLevi Epstein [1889-1971] was the Admor of Ozarow-Chentshin. He was born in Ozarow. His father, Rabbi Avraham Shlomo, was Av Beit Din and Admor in the city. At the age of 22, he started serving as Admor. In 1926, he moved to America and then immigrated to Israel in [1953]. He was a member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah and received the Israeli Prize for Torah Literature in [1968]. He authored Eis Das and Be'er Moshe on the Torah.
The recipient of the letter, Rabbi Bentzion Moshe Yair Weinstock [1899-1982] was a disciple of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Halevi Ashlag, author of HaSulam. He was a noted kabbalist and the author of dozens of works, encyclopedic compilations that integrated Talmud, halacha and midrash, kabbala and chassidut. He was a grandson of Rabbi Dovid Zvi Shlomo Biederman, "R' Duvidel," the fourth of Admor of Lelov.
